Diana Adam's artwork provides a breathtaking glimpse of New Zealand's rugged natural beauty, featuring coastlines, landmarks and native flowers and plants.
Diana Adams artwork includes the popular Pohutukawa Flower. The Pōhutukawa (Metrosideros excelsa) is a coastal evergreen tree that produces a brilliant display of red flowers. The Pohutukawa tree is one of twelve Metrosideros species endemic to New Zealand. The tree grows up to 20 metres (66 ft) in height, with a dome-like spreading form. Its natural range is the coastal regions of the North Island of New Zealand. The Pohutukawa is often referred to as the New Zealand Christmas Tree because it has a display of brilliant crimson flowers from November to January. [736]
